There have been posts in the WashU forum saying that the class is pretty much full and it’s highly unlikely they’ll take more off the waitlist.

Kids from my school have been accepted off many waitlists, including Boston College, Trinity, Barnard, Hamilton, and George Washington U. I also know that Bates is using its waitlist this year.

How many kids at each of those schools?

I know of 2 at BC and 1 at all the others. I also forgot to add Duke to that list, where one girl is now headed in the fall. That’s just what I’ve heard, there are probably others that I don’t know about. According to my school’s college counselors, almost everyone is accepted off at least one waitlist. Last year, someone was accepted off four!

It is highly unlikely that anyone waitlisted for Pratt will be taken off according to Duke Admissions - we called on Friday

walkthewalk- When was the student admitted off the Bates waitlist notified?

My friend was accepted off Bates’ waitlist roughly a week and a half ago. I know he visited last Sunday before deciding on going.

Has anyone heard of anyone getting off the wellesley waitlist?

wait…does Pratt have anything to do with Duke?

my daughter was called last week - but the financial aid makes it unlikely she’ll
attend.

Claire: On the Bates '13 FB group, he said that he had “just got in off the waitlist” on May 6. The Bates admissions office just called him and offered him a spot. Good luck!

Thanks walkthewalk.

Does anyone know how you find out when they’re done taking people off the waitlist? Do they contact you?

Wow really? That’s really frustrating. I had some hope for Amherst. Oh well I guess I’ll settle with u of c.

“Washington and Lee admitted me yesterday (Friday) from their waitlist. They specified that they could offer NO financial aid…for ANY of my four years there.”

I had taken my name off the waitlist because I was fairly sure that something like this would happen. Oh well, UVa would suffice.

Wash U is full. Very unlikely anyone will be taken off the waitlist now.

has anyone heard from rice yet? and if so were you priority or not?

At one time I had heard Rice was oversubscribed, but nothing recently.

I know people got called off of Wesleyan’s waitlist last week.

I heard Rice was over-enrollling this year and I’ve heard of at least one person who got off the waitlist.

University of South Carolina has taken some students who were waitlisted for fall/ admitted for spring off the wait list in the past week – don’t think they are done…
