<p>I didn’t know Rice had a priority waitlist. I was waitlisted at Rice and I am getting very nervous. Rice is my first choice.</p>

<p>The Class of 2013 is currently full. The Dean of Admissions sent an email on the May 15, 2009, releasing most who were on Columbia’s waitlist. There is an “extended” waitlist for a few select candidates who might have the opportunity to fill slots should they become available in the future.</p>
<p>for those people reporting, to avoid making this harder than it already is, please TRY to say what your source is, if its not your own personal experience. Saying “I heard…” helps no one and just contributes to anxiety for those waiting. It would appear from this thread and other WaitList threads that WL activity is certainly slowing down at this moment. But check the board for the school you are currently interested in. as always its different for each school.</p>

<p>nab, my S was accepted off the Hamilton WL a few weeks ago. He was told very very few were being taken and I haven’t seen any reports of any others coming off so far in CC. At this point, I’d search “Wait List (and name of school)” just to see if there’s anything being reported. Good luck!</p>
