most of the schools are telling me to send in the deposit as of today.

Northwestern online account is open to make a deposit as of today.
Georgetown says to send the deposit with a letter.
SLU extended the deadline.

May be the enrollments are down.

we are not eligible for FIN AID…Full paying passengers

I dont understand your question. Is it whether deposit is binding or just saving a spot?

Deposit is binding to what extent…untill we say we are not interested & loose the deposit.

Yale is NOT active. and will not be unless there is significant summer melt.

So… if a college’s name is not on this list, does it mean that it won’t really accept people off the waitlist or we have to wait a little longer? Doesn’t waitlist activity start in the first week of may for most schools? I’m getting a little scared that my dream school is not on the list yet… :(

^^ Don’t trip, it’s still a bit early in the wait-list process. Be patient. The schools mentioned are on the list because people know someone who has been taken off the wait-list therefore, making them “active”. If you’re school hasn’t shown up yet, either it hasn’t started the process yet (likeliest) or they aren’t taking any off the wait list (only school I know that’s inactive is Yale.) Don’t lose hope, you and I are on the same boat, I’m waiting for another college too.

I have a question! I am an international student from Vietnam. This year, Trinity Uni in Texas has already admitted 2 Vietnamese students with full need aid. Do I still have a chance when I am in the wait list?

Has anyone heard from Tulane?

You can call the school and ask. SUNY Binghamton has said they will be accepting applicants off the WL soon.

duong91, international students have a different waitlist from american citizens. so you have to check out wether these two are international or native~
still be hopeful, though. until the ao officially tells you that it’s waitlist has been inactive, don’t lose your hope, just keep calling.
best luck~

Will Trinity College go to the waitlist this year? (Especially waitlist for international students)
