Activity Type for BSA & NHS

<p>Hi,</p>

<p>Could you suggest what “Activity Type” should I choose for BSA and for NHS? Is BSA Religious? Is NHS Student Government or School Spirit? </p>

<p>Also, how should I fill “Position/Leadership”? “Troop Lead, BSA” or “BSA, Troop Lead”?</p>

<p>Typically NHS is listed as a school honor under Honors rather than in Activities. You can note something like ‘requires 30 hrs/yr.’ if there is a service hour component to your NHS. </p>

<p>For scouts, there is no right or wrong category, but I wouldn’t think religious would be your top choice there because the focus is generally not on religion. Maybe Other?</p>

<p>“BSA: Troop Leader” is not bad, but there is room for more detail. If you include rank, BSA is implied and that saves space. By choosing words carefully you can convey a bit more info despite the character limit. </p>

<p>Examples: “Life Scout; gregarious Troop Leader” or “Enthusiastic camper with Eagle rank;”</p>
