So I am trying to sign up for a college class. However, I can only get registered after the UC deadline. I am not sure that I will be able to register for the class. How should I put that down on my UC application?
Also, in a similar way, I want to take the AP Physics 2 exam. However, I have not officially signed up for it yet (earliest I can do is after Dec 2). How should i go about this?
Is it possible to list it on the app and email them if I cannot go through? Or is it better to not list it and email them if I can. Or is there another option? Thanks!
Calling @Gumbymom for more info on the class registration, which is the bigger issue.
As for the AP exam - I would list it as planned - it’s likely that you’ll be able to register and take it. If you end up not taking it, it’s not a big deal, as AP exams are used for course placement and not admissions decisions, as far as i understand.
You can list the College class you plan to take as Planned and if for some reason, you are unable to register for the class, you can update the UC campuses with the course change after the submission of the application.
Note that some UC campuses will not accept schedule changes/updates, but as long as you notify the UC you plan to attend about the course change prior to submitting your College transcripts, it should not be an issue.
For the AP exam, I would follow @islandmama1’s advice and list it as planned. Again, if some reason you cannot take the exam, you would just let the UC you plan to attend and enroll in about the change.
