Additional essays?

<p>During my junior year, I severely broke my leg in 2 places in a varsity hockey game. I ultimately went through 2 surgeries and was required to wear a "halo’ with 13 pins for 4 months. In the process, i missed 3 weeks of school on a “block schedule,” which brought down my grades a bit. </p>

<p>Is there any way I could submit an additional essay to address this? My counselor said she addressed it in her rec letter, but I don’t know how she went about explaining it.</p>

<p>Should I use part of the “your space” section? Or should I just submit another essay all together?</p>

<p>no no, dont use the your space for that, use the space included in the common app for extra info. use the your space for soemthing more personal, not to explain what may be viewed as weaknesses in your app.</p>

<p>But if your counselor is mentioning it, you should too in greater detail in case she was vague about the details and the incidents implications</p>
