Additional information session? Am I whining?

Should I put this in my additional information session or does it just whining?

You’ll notice a dip in my grades during junior year. I decided to not only move up a level in almost all of my class but also throw myself further into debate. Unfortunately, I was not able to figure out proper time management until late in the school year, but now I know how to balance my time properly and am well prepared for senior year and college. In regards to the C visible on my transcript for Algebra II enriched I wanted to explain that I had worked with a tutor at least once a week because I did not understand the material.

I think that would put additional emphasis on the C and would sound like an excuse. Let your transcript and list of activities speak for themselves.

Being as the dip was a result of your own choices and completely in your control, there is no reason to draw attention to it.
