For the 4 personal questions I finished all my answers and put them on the additional info page.

Is this a bad idea? or is it not a big deal

I just could not not finish my answers properly so i added them in that page.

Do you mean that all of your answers are on the additional info page or just the remainder of them?

the remainder of them

I typed as much as i could in the boxes then finished them on the additional info page.

bump…

What I had been planning on doing was putting something like “answer on additional information page,” or something similar in the box and then putting the entire answer on the extra page. I think it would be easier to read.

do you think its a big deal to write extra for each question?

My answer to the first one (“why barnard”) was good, but it didn’t fit the box so that was the only question I extended into the additional info box. For the other questions I tried really hard to keep it limited to the space they give you.

It’s not that big of a deal, but I would advise against going on and on forever. They’re reading thousands of apps, so it’s best to give them every reason to like you when it’s 11 p.m., their eyes are drooping, and you’re the last app before bedtime.

I would say that a few lines over is not that bad, but remember that short answers are supposed to be short…In all, I don’t think you have much to worry about. If they reject you for that, then that’s a bit silly.

In my case, only one of the questions ran long, but it was extremely necessary to. I wouldn’t have all of my answers be outside the recommendation. Wouldn’t want to look like I don’t read directions!

is anyone putting anything else in the additional info box besides essays?

so is it ok?

I added like 3 lines to each question basically

I’m writing about my educational background and extenuating circumstances. (ie: don’t live w/ my parents, lived in korea 2/3s of my life, living w/ a pastor’s family, etc)

I think it’s fine, but it makes it kinda hard (and annoying possibly) for the adcoms to follow.
