I’m currently taking the semester off from NYU and planning on applying for transfer to 8 schools. Of the 8, only Vassar asks if there have been any interruptions in education that it should know about. I like my response for that question, and think that it probably would be helpful for the other schools to know (it puts heavy emphasis on wanting to learn when I’m motivated to do so, etc). Does it make more sense to use that essay in the additional information part of the writing section, or upload my resume, which does have considerably more information than what the common app asks for?
Is it too pushy to use the “additional information” section for the essay, and send a hard copy of my resume to the schools?
