Adjusting to life in college?

This goes to anyone in a university now. My friend’s sister is in UCLA and she was on academic probation for a while because she had trouble adjusting to the academic difficulty at UCLA as opposed to high school.

I was wondering if anyone else knows anything about adjusting from high school difficulty to university? I plan to go to Berkeley, and I’m really scared I’ll drop out or something because I can’t handle it. So if anyone’s in Berkeley (or any university for that matter) right now, can you tell me about the academic difficulty and your high school stats (gpa, sat, etc. so I can see how I compare)?

The biggest thing is time management. Give enough time to your studies, but still go out and have fun. Get that down, and you’ll be fine. Everyone I know that has had trouble and/or dropped out are the people that thought they could go out 7 days a week and study only when they felt like it (which pretty much meant never).
