Admission Factors

My grandfather taught at a small LAC school for about 30 years. Does this factor into “legacy” decisions, and if so how much?

I don’t know too much, but it seems like he was pretty important, he has a scholarship in his field named after him (small field though).

Well, yes and no. I think the term “legacy” specifically refers to having a parent being an alum of the school. However, you could surely state this in your application if there’s a section for it (I definitely saw something like this in a UMich application.)

What LAC are we talking about?

You could mention it. If you are really curious, ask the college. I’m sure it could count though
