<p>What does it take to get admitted to MIT, what If you didn’t take any advanced courses ( GT/AP/Pre-AP ), is it still possible to get admitted.</p>
<p>Sheer awesomeness is the key to acceptance. Just being “awesome” doesn’t cut it.</p>
<p>Try your best in the hardest classes you have access to (that would involve APs if your school offers them), do what you love, and be honest in your application. Beyond that, it’s not like there’s a magic formula that they plug you into and get an admissions decision out of, though people around here have actually tried to generate one.</p>
<p>Show passion for what you are doing, challenge yourself as much as you can (or better yet, more than you can) and show MIT you can overcome failure.</p>
