I recently discussed with an advisor at my CC campus about my admission. I attended UCM during my first semester and got academically dismissed, but most of the courses that I took were remedial and only exempted me from placement exams in the CC system. The advisor told me that the transfer will be hard and not possible because I took UC courses and did not pass, but it will be possible once I come up with some kind of agreement from my past university to make it up. Is that correct? I assumed that I would be able to start fresh without having to worry about any past grades when I spoke with a CC counselor earlier in the semester. I am currently doing well at my CC, even with the actual courses I took at UCM and did not pass.
You have to contact UCM and get back in good standing which is a 2.0 GPA.
^^^agreed. You can’t gain admission into another UC unless you’re in good standing with your previous UC.
