Do you guys think admission officers would understand if I explain that I couldn’t take any advanced business courses such as micro/macro economics because my school does not offer it and I also couldn’t take any advanced math classes because I was placed in a basic math class when I came to the US in the 7th grade which consequently lead to me taking Pre-calc as my highest math class in the 12th grade? I cannot put this on my essay because the essays I’m writing about has nothing to do with this, so what part of my application would you advise I put this on? Resume?

1) They’ll get your school profile and see what courses are offered. If micro or macro isn’t offered, they won’t hold it against you if didn’t take it.

2) Don’t explain “why” for the math classes. You took what you took, and got the grades you got. They really don’t care why. Particularly since there’s no way to tell how you would have done in any other class. Saying anything sounds like whining.

(I also assume that somewhere on your app you mention at least the yearin which you came to the US.)

No don’t state that the reason you could not take advanced math is because you came to the U.S. in the 7th grade as cheva stated they won’t care, it will sound like whining and could backfire on you as the school can easily point to a number of students who were educated either internationally or came to the U.S. later that still took AP calc BC or similar courses.
