I’m from the Cayman Islands, and will probably be the only person applying to ivy leagues from my country (the population is very small and most people head to the UK for school). Does that strengthen my chance in getting into top universities (Stanford in particular)? What advantages/disadvantages do caribbean students have when applying to ivy leagues?

Also, I attend a boarding school in the US (UWC-USA) and I’m now doing the IB diploma. I was selected from different applicants by a committee in Cayman to be sent and my sponsors allow me to be on full scholarship. Does attending school in the US hurt my chances?
