Admission requirement

Question from my 16 year old daughter…when UMD refers to “three years of…” do they really mean three school years, or three courses? In her high school, most courses are completed in a semester because they compress the schedules. So if she completed three science courses, would that be the same as “three years of science?”

They mean three school years, which would mean they would expect you to take three courses since usually each course is 1 year. In your daughters case, I think that three science courses would be the same as three years of science. She will have a lot of science courses which will definitely boost her application!
