Admission Result Date

So I was looking around and I’ve seen people comment about how UT Austin releases results in January and some in March. Can anyone tell me how and when UTA actually releases their undegraduate Admission Results?

there is not a specific date that UT releases their decision. how soon you will get your decision most likely depends on the major you applied for/how soon you turned in your application/how good your stats are/in-state or out-of-state ;etc.

actually, I just looked at your “chance me” thread…you should for sure get accepted
i guess it just depends on how soon you hear from them…

What type/amount of merit aid were you offered? Was it based on sat/act scores? Specifically for Cockrell School of Engineering. Purdue on its website gives up to $10,000
for out of state students with Act above 30. UT is not specific in fact they are very vague about merit aid.

most decisions went out saturday
if your instate dont be suprised if you get CAPd

but idk how their aid works, UT has plenty of kids with high ACT scores so its not likely they give them all a scholarships, but i mean your kid may or may not get one, but he should apply for scholarships in general not just the ones at UT

What does CAPd mean? I’ve seen it on other threads and I’m not sure what it is.

Coordinated Admissions Program

you will get that if you are instate and dont get in…

So is it a nice way to say rejection or is it a wait list or is it a chance to provide more information to get accepted?

na just a nice way to say rejection, it gives you the option of going to one of the others UT schools for a year and meeting certain requirement and being guaranteed admission the following year…

they also have a wait-list but that is separate from CAP

The amount of scholarships you get depends on which school you got accepted into. Most schools are pretty stingy and you shouldn’t expect anything, but I know Cockrell School of Engineering is more generous. However, the amount of money you receive from Cockrell is highly dependent on your SAT or ACT scores.
