I have “volunteered” at my family’s restaurant weekends for at least 8 hours per week for the past 6 years. I say “volunteer” because I do not get paid for my time there, I focused on it in my personal statement prompt 2.

Note:
Took one AP class before Senior Year
Taking AP Stats, AP Calc AB, and AP Bio this year.
Relatively low GPA was all explained in personal statements.

Should I post this in the “Chance Me” forum instead?

Were you offered more than one AP classes before your senior year? I am a junior and so far I have 4 AP classes on my record and I am planning to take 4 AP classes next year with one or two community college classes.

I had a variety of AP class opportunities before senior year but I chose not to take them since I was unmotivated and lazy; I thought I’d take over my family restaurant. After realizing that the restaurant wasn’t my thing, I chose to pursue sciences. I explained all of this in my personal statements.
