Admissions decisions TODAY!!!

The early decision announcement was a huge surprise…and I couldn’t open the email when it came…went upstairs to sit in my despair…told my mom to open it…and I was accepted!!! This is just unbelievable…I got rejected yesterday from UC Berkeley and Northwestern…I’m going to STANFORD!

waitlisted. It is what it is. I prolly won’t take a spot on the waitlist either.

good luck to future applicants, and congrats to the accepted!

Accepted. That was…a surprise. An amazing surprise! Did anyone else not know that they were coming out? I was thinking March 31st. That totally made my day. =)

i still haven’t gotten an email, was everyone supposed to by now?

I can’t believe this! Yesterday, I got into UC Berkeley and today I got into Stanford!!! Adding those to the likely letters from Cornell and Dartmouth, these past two months have been awesome! I can’t wait to hear from HYP and some others on the 1st of April!!!
I’m still in shock!

Rejected from MIT and now Stanford. Ah man :(

I agree. For the benefit of future applicants and others who wish to satisfy their own curiosity, they will provide a general sample of the unique sets of qualifications of this year’s class.

Ouch, rejected.

Oh noes, I might have to go to such a horrible, miserable dump, as the Berkeley CoE for EECS! My life is ruined! Ruined! I am doomed to eternal and everlasting failure and misery, no matter what happens in the future!

After getting a likely letter from Yale, I’m a bit surprised I got wait listed at Stanford. Just a good lesson that one should never be over confident in the college admissions process.

rejected =(

Looks like Money is an important fact for Stanford decision. Several very strong applicants got rejected; several not that strong (either not applying aid or female) got in. Being poor, then being “cheap”.

deferred then rejected. i applied for FA… but who cares? i got accepted to amherst hahaha

Money is definitely a factor in international decisions. Isn’t Stanford need-blind for US citizens?

@An0maly: I remember reading your chances thread a while ago and thinking you really deserved to get in. I’m sorry it didn’t happen.

I was rejected :(

Andromeda, I’m pretty sure they are need blind for US applicants

In a pool of 32,000 applicants I think one has to been careful in drawing concrete conclusions based on 2 or 3 examples.

^ second what cardfan and arashi8 said. Need blind for US based applicants. If it wasn’t, there would be way I would have gotten in last year.

Surprise email that I was not expecting. Accepted!

Ra ra ah ah ah, roma roma ma, ga ga ooh la la, want your bad romance. I want your ugly, I want your disease. I want your everything as long as it’s free…Love love love, i want your love
