Admissions Dilemma

Currently my Penn State shows that my decision will come within the coming days. The problem is I believe that i scored extremely well on my December ACT and could be very helpful for my application. However a decision is more than likely going to be made before the scores come back. Hypothetically, lets say I get denied to main campus, is there anyway I can appeal the decision once I get my scores back and send them to PSU? Thanks

If you do not get in (it sounds like you will though, coming days is usually a good thing), I would call the admissions office (814-865-5471) and ask for them to review your application again. If you explain to them why, I’m sure they wouldn’t mind taking another look at it. I’ve called them to make sure they received all my materials before I was accepted; they are pretty nice people. :)

was just denied, can I appeal once I get my december ACT score, or is it a one shot deal.

You didn’t post stats, but I would definitely call them if you have updated scores. Also, if you applied for a specific major tell them you will go in Undecided (DUS) and if you are willing, Summer session. If your stats were borderline this may help. It never hurts to ask. Good Luck.

Update: 32 on December ACT
