What is something you have taught yourself in the last year? How did you teach yourself this new skill or concept and what was the result?

Okay so I wanna write about how I taught myself Spanish, because my teacher was crap, but how do I make this more apt. I guess. I don’t really know, like I really didn’t immerse myself in the culture or anything, besides listening to the occasional Spanish song. All I really did was read the textbook and drill myself. So how can I make this more interesting, please help!
-Thank You
