Admissions Help-Could I get in?

<p>Hi, could you PLEASE review my stats and tell me if I could get into a good private school? I want to apply to the Meadows School in Las Vegas, but I want to be at least a bit sure that I’ll have a chance.</p>

<p>GPA: 3.97 (unweighted), 4.47 (weighted)
Class Rank: 1 out of 270
Courses: 1 AP class last year- 4 on the exam, This year- 5 APs (one online)
I haven’t taken the SAT or PSAT. I’m taking the ACT next year after I take the SAT this spring (I’m currently a Junior).
Extras:
-Languages: fluent in English as well as Farsi (currently enrolled in Spanish 4 AP as well)
-academic letter recipient
-2 years in Key Club as Secretary
-NHS
-newspaper staff columnist
-Member of the National Society of High School Scholars (I heard it was a scam after I joined, but I still have no idea)
-Writer for a daily online newspaper (I really have no idea why I’m mentioning this other than the fact that it takes up a bit of my time)
-Steady Volunteer Work since the 7th grade
-1 Summer spent in a ‘Trial By Peers’ workshop</p>

<p>*Hopefully, I can get a part-time job to help with my tuition fees. I know it’s a bit late to start thinking of private schools, but I would really like to go.</p>

<p>Your stats look impressive. You should investigate the questionable scholar society before including it. However, you are thinking about transferring to a school for 12th grade if I read your post correctly. Some independent schools do not take new students for 12th grade, except under unusual circumstances. You might also ask yourself if this would be a good move for you given your college applications, and the adjustment to a new school, etc. Perhaps someone else on this board who is familiar with this school might be able to add to the discussion.</p>
