Sorry to hear that thisconfidential.

congrats eric. what state are you from?

Yes, everyone post where you are from and what your stats are please.

I’m confused though, it says I got accepted into the NU.in program because there weren’t enough spots on campus this fall. Huh, I don’t know much about that program.

sorry thisconfidential. if it helps at all i think we are gunna be in the same boat

Never even heard of that, doesn’t sound great if you can’t be on campus.

Thanks guys, its ok. Their loss. I know I’m more than capable of going there and I would’ve been a great candidate, but whatever. They had a lot of applicants, many of whom didn’t screw up like I did when they were 14 years old lol.

Eric, the NU.in program allows you to study abroad your first semester of freshman year and then come to campus for the second semester. Congrats!! $54,000 or so is a lot to be paying, and I hope you’re able to work it out wherever you go. :)

yeah eric if you dont mind what are you stats?

You guys got emails first right? Or did you just chech the portal? Mine still won’t let me log in

and thisconfidential too, if you don’t mind?

Rejected from MA.
3.8 weighted, 2100 SAT, 32 ACT, applied for Math
My essay was about why I want to be a teacher.
Blech, but I wouldn’t be able to pay anyway.

With his rejection ^^ this makes me think that NU looked into applicants a little more this year than just their usual strictly numbers approach to admissions

3.65 weighted GPA (lots of C’s freshman year, but have since gotten pretty much straight As in everything including AP Chem, AP Psych, and AP Spanish). I had a great recommendation from my world history teacher, but I didn’t get to read my chem teacher’s rec.

SATs: 620 CR, 640 Math, 670 Writing (1930 total; 1260 out of 1600)
Lots of ECs, including volunteering abroad for 2 whole months (my college essay was about that, and how it led me to do what I want to do - biotechnology)

@ILOVEFEDERER Oh dear, I can’t believe you were rejected with those stats. Now I am worried.

Great, didn’t expect this one. Waitlisted.

3.92 weighted, 2090 SAT. Well above previously accepted students from my school… bah

Guys, my GPA isn’t great. It’s weighted, not unweighted. And I’m an ORM.
But, my friend did get rejected with a much better SAT than me, so idk.

My friend who got waitlisted at 3pm has an SAT score of 1870 with a weighted GPA of 3.9, but she runs track and she’s amazing at it. And she is incredibly low income.

A lot depends on the major too besides scores and gpa’s, so don’t get too freaked out with someone getting rejected with high stats.

@ILOVEFEDERER

Still, your SAT score is very good for NEU, in my opinion. Did you take a lot of honors/AP classes in high school? In other words, does your transcript demonstrate a lot of rigor?

You guys these stats make me so nervous! I have a 1980 SAT and a 3.47 UW GPA (4.0 w)… I live in MA and still haven’t heard.
