Admissions Postings?

i did some research earlier and i think i read that you can’t be waitlisted. i heard it’s better to get accepted into the program than to be waitlisted b/c you would have a slim chance to get off the waitlist

No it’s not my first choice, but I will likely be rejected from my first choice lol therefore, 50/50 chance I’d go if I got in. 1900 SAT 3.6 UW 4.5 W GPA but I have some good EC’s, volunteer hours, etc so I’m hoping they review hollistically

So if you get accepted into the NUin program and you don’t want to/financially unfit to do the program, you have to decline your acceptance?

Weird question…did NU have essays? I really can’t remember!

Daughter got her first rejection. CT resident, 1940, 3.98, lots of great leadership and ECs and great recommendations. Oh well! She was undecided in which area of study and they did say when we visited that “undecided” was probably the hardest school to get into. I may be using the wrong terminology but you get what I’m saying.

I’m actually ok with this rejection because while NEU is a great school for many, I didn’t think it was the best fit for my daughter who isn’t quite sure what she wants to do as a career.

I really wish all you students the best and hope you get in if that’s what you really want!

I still haven’t received my decision and I’m in NJ…nobody from my area for that matter

accepted to NUin! hey, it’s an acceptance so i’m not complaining

I got rejected :(

Noooooo not woah :frowning:
all hope is lost!!!

Yes, less-qualified…that’s me!

wait listed from jersey…this sucks…

Funny thing : everybody from my class SO FAR has been rejected…wow Northeastern likes to reject! -.-

Congrats to everyone that got accepted to NU or NU.in like myself. I’m probably not going to go, but if I do, i think it would be a great opportunity to go abroad. Meet people like myself who got in and share the journey in a new country. LOL intense.

Sorry Woah!

NU.in program admits can’t be moved to the fall waiting list. You also can’t just choose to not do the study abroad and start in the spring- the only person I’ve heard of getting out of the study abroad claimed strong medical reasons. That person did get out of the study abroad, but still couldn’t start at Northeastern until the spring. Financial disability is not a reason that allows you to get out of it.

So if you were accepted into NU.in (except if you have something medical preventing you from studying abroad), you either have to do the study abroad without financial aid and start in the spring, or you have to turn down the acceptance.

You guys are making me so nervous ):

With 46k applicants a rejection is all we can expect!

Nicely said Eric, brought a little tear to my eye

Does anyone know if the portal updates a significant amount of time before they e-mail…

It’s actually 44k applicants…thats what the letter said lol…just saying.

Wohoooo so I have a better chance then?!

Totally kidding.

This wait is @%#?! ridiculous!!!
