So I have a SAT II question… I sent 3 of my tests (took in one sitting) in without having the chance to look at the results. Turns out I did well on the math I and math II test but poorly on another subject. I was wondering if I’m applying as either an engineering or math major if the admissions office will consider math I and math II as two different subjects? If so they shouldn’t look at my other score right… because that was definitely not my best work. I would love to know what you all think, as of now I’m studying to take another sat II in another subject.

MathI and MathII are the same subject. MathI includes only Algebra and Geometry. MathII includes Trigonometry. It simply shows a deeper level of understanding the same subject area.

This situation would be the same as asking if taking Spanish as well as Spanish with Listening would count as two subjects. Obviously they are the same subject.

You can read the College Board’s description of the tests here:

This advice is water under the bridge for you, but it would have been better for you to focus on taking only two exams on the test date. I have heard that students who take three tests on a single date tend to score lower than students who take only one or two.
