Admissions Rates and Financial Aid Differences Between Colleges

I’m applying RD to NYU this year. The school has such a diverse set of majors that I’m not totally sure what I’ll end up doing, but I’ll probably either major in Applied Psych (Steinhardt), Social Work (Silver), and/or a self-designed major (Gallatin).

So, a few questions:

-Do these schools have different acceptance rates? If so, which has the highest?

-Does the financial aid package vary depending on the school? I’ve heard Gallatin is particularly generous with financial aid, while CAS is the least generous - is this true?

-I plan to apply to all three schools… Will it make a difference which I list as my first choice on the common app?

So Gallatin has the lowest acceptance rate out of the three, Steinhart the highest. It is also easy to transfer schools within NYU once you get there. It does make a difference which school you put on your application first.
I put Gallatin as my first when I applied and CAS as my second and didn’t get in (I’m applying again and plan on applying to LSP)
NYU in general tends to be extremely stingy with aid but you could get lucky. I would suggest calling the individual schools though and asking.

@aik257 - So sorry I didn’t see this until now. Thank you though! This is super helpful.
I’m surprised Gallatin has the lowest acceptance rate, but I guess that
