When can we expect ResLife and Aggie Dining to update their pricing for the 2025-2026 school year?

Follow their social media pages and ask there, or check their websites.

I have followed them already. I will ask over there.

I have been trying to understand the Blinn pathway better. Is it worth it ?
IS ETAM Process same for this pathway and General admission or the students in this pathway are at a disadvantage.
I am trying to lockin between UTD CS and A&M-Blinn Pathway

No matter what pathway they take as engineering, they all have to ETaM. With Teab there are different requirements but not harder.

Do you have direct admit into CompSci at UTD? And is on campus housing guaranteed?
If so, no brainer
 I’d go to UTD.

But UTD and TAMU have Very different campus vibes. Be sure you have toured both campuses before making a decision.

I tried doing a search up it wasn’t working
Has anyone been offered entrance to Engineering Honors yet?

Could someone explain how housing works or point me to somewhere with information about it? My daughter got accepted through Blinn team and signed up for her NSC but we are unsure about how to sign up for housing and how it works.

watch the video here. it walks you through the process.

eta: you want to put $ down ASAP if your daughter wants to live on campus. they are already at “temporary housing” status. you can read the status types on the link I posted above.

Thank you! We logged in to the housing portal it gave us temp housing status. Does this mean that she won’t have a say in her roommate or where she lives once they give her permanent housing?

Yes. Temp List can NOT ‘match’ with anyone during Phase3. Depending on where they are on the list, they’ll either be assigned a bed in a room
or in a temp location (modified study lounge, Corps dorm-specific floors that are exclusively for overflow, etc).
Once school starts (or perhaps late summer), beds are shifted-students decide to live off campus, decide not to attend A&M.

Temp List is guaranteed a bed somewhere

Wait List is Not.

Just found this thread. I got admitted in October itself and filled the scholarship info in commonapp and applied for honors engineering. But haven’t received any info about merit or honors. Did anyone received info about merit or honors acceptance

I know a few people got merit scholarships in their financial packages on the portal. They give out very very little so I wouldn’t expect anything. I don’t think most honors acceptances have gone out yet.

As far as aid or loan offers go, what is the deadline to accept? Is there any reason to accept right away or penalty for waiting?

How and where do students go look for sports pass info?

Hasn’t open yet, usually April for current students.
Make sure student is checking portal often and paying close attention to Howdy Checklist.

The link below is where student will sign in, when passes open. Student will add to their acct, but won’t pay until big housing/tuition/fees bill in August.

Have your student start ‘liking’ as many A&M social media pages as possible, and take a deep dive on A&M website.

My daughter has not heard about Engineering Honors yet. She applied early January.

@52AG82, Thank you for all the recommendations! If you don’t mind, I have a bunch of questions  I always want to understand the “why” behind things so I can understand if they apply to my situation.

“Make sure he lists WCG has an option when listing (parking) choices.” What’s the thinking behind this recommendation?

“Don’t sign up for Parking until dorm selection.” My daughter knows she’ll be in Mosher or Aston due to Engineering Honors (guaranteed acceptance due to NMF). Should she still not sign up for parking until dorm selection?

“Never schedule a session until student is fully DONE with high school (graduation, Project Grad, etc)” My daughter registered for the first NSC due to conflicts with the other sessions. She’ll be finished with HS classes the week before, but grade books don’t close until 1 week later, and graduation is 2 weeks later. So what are the main issues with NSC before finishing HS? As far as HS and dual credit transcripts, I don’t think any of my daughter’s credits are critical to the classes she’ll want for Freshman year (e.g. they just fulfill GenEd requirements; no prereqs). Would TAMU need proof that she actually graduated before she registers for classes?? If so, we’d need to wait well into June b/c her HS is not speedy on the transcript front.

“Be sure to book hotel (for NSC) for 2 nights (night before day 1 & night of day 1)
even if you live close (Houston area).” What is the reason behind this recommendation? We only live 1.5 hrs from TAMU and are early risers. Is getting up early to drive that morning an issue? We’d definitely leave extra time in case of traffic, parking issues, etc.

Thanks again for all your recommendations!
