Which Mays page did you join?
The original/main page-Aggie Moms/Dads of Mays (maroon banner, more members) is the best; the other accepts scammers and has zero post activity. Be sure to join the better Mays page.
This is the main parent page, run by Pat. She is very good about ‘vetting’ people who join. I’m guessing this is the page that requires being on FB for 6 months? Great page. Try join again in a few weeks, and message her-Pat Carriker-explaining you are new to FB.
There is also Aggie Parents. I wouldn’t recommend it, but many do join it. They allow straight Blinn parents, potential parents, lots of drama and run by helicopter parents. You’ve been warned 
Darn, it looks like I joined the wrong Mays page…I will try the other one. And I will try the main parent page again. You had said before there is good info on there for housing and such so I will try again in a few weeks. Thanks again for all your help!!

Definitely join the original Mays page! Lots of great Mays only posts, info. The other page main admin isn’t a Mays parent-so he’s clueless about anything Mays-and he allows anyone in.

My son is trying to claim his TAMU gmail account. Right now when he tries, it says he is not eligible for a google apps account. He was admitted back in September, but hasn’t committed. Does he need to sign up for an NSC before this is an option? He’s closer to choosing A&M and is worried he’s missing official emails.
You can see everything you need through the portals and Howdy by just setting up the NetId. Also waiting on offers before considering accepting TAMU.
I think they have to commit before they can set it up. My son hasn’t committed yet and has been unable to set his up also.

Make sure your students are checking the Financial Aid tab in Howdy, to see if they’ve been offered any scholarships or awards (A&M will offer 1 year ‘awards’-pretty much a scholarship, just not called that).
