ADP - Applied Developmental Psychology Minor

Anyone have thoughts/input on the ADP program? Seems really interesting but kinda intense.

As a transfer, can I still qualify? Is it difficult to get into? I don’t have formal training with kids, but I watch my nieces and nephews who range in age from infant to 9 years old.

You can apply as a transfer, the deadline for the Fall-Winter-Spring cohort is April 10 and admission is rolling. Check out the FAQ on this page: https://www.psych.ucla.edu/undergraduate/undergraduate-student-services/majors-minors/applied-developmental-psychology-minor

“There is a selection process for the minor and it is competitive. We consider your application, coursework and GPA, experience with children, and your letter of recommendation. Some applicants are also asked to participate in a group interview. Experience with young children is highly recommended, as is Psych 130 and/or Psych 133 (B–I).”

I got emails occasionally about info sessions regarding the ADP minor so keep an eye out for those.
