Post in places college or grad students will see it, especially if it is a summer sublet.
NYC area colleges have facebook groups where they list sublets. Apparently when a group of students rents an apartment and some of them leave for the summer they list openings there.
Check some university websites, their housing sites. They have sublets for their faculty apartments.
How short a sublet? PM, bc I have a son who may want to sublet in NYC this summer.
