Adult Student to NYU (advice please)

<p>Hello,</p>

<p>I just got out of the Army. I am 24 years old and I am starting school in North Carolina at a community college to knock out my general studies. I was a poor student in High school. I didn’t really apply myself and my grades suffered as a result. I scored 1100 on my SATs. I have the capability to be a very good student and I think I will do well in college.</p>

<p>I really want to go to NYU when I move back to New York in a year or so. What does a person in my situation need to do to make it happen? Any advice would be helpful. Thanks!</p>
