My high school offers only 9 official AP classes. However, I can still take more AP exams in the subjects that are not available at my school. When I apply for college, does it matter whether I take the class or is it just as good if I earned a good score on the AP exam?

If anything, it’s definitely better that you took the test when the class is not available. Even if you don’t get a 5, it shows initiative and a love of learning. It’s what I’m doing (took AP Euro last year and got a 4, taking AP Microecon./Macroecon. this year).
