Plan to stop at one of our local Costco’s on my way back from an appointment this morning to see if they have the lobster spread in stock. Its good stuff (though kinda high calorie) and lactose free. Would have had enough to serve in the little phyllo cups tonight if someone and someone’s spouse hadn’t been snacking on it…
Regarding prescriptions, I like going to goodrx.com and it shows the price one would pay at many local places (you enter your zip code) including Costco. Surprisingly, I’ve yet to find one of my prescriptions less at Costco than other places. Huge Costco fan and go about once a week; I just haven’t had success finding less expensive prescriptions there.
GoodRx does not always show correct prices. We checked it and then went to RiteAid. Quite higher than what the web was showing. Just saying.
^^Good to know. Although disappointing.
The prices on Good Rx are usually if you were self pay, not billing through insurance. Sometimes, meds will be cheaper if not run through insurance; it really varies from one medication to another and brand vs. generic.
If you are taking a newish brand medication, if you go to the medication’s own website, many times there will be a copay card where you will only have to pay anywhere from 0-$30 for up to 12 refills. I always have patients check before hitting the pharmacy if we don’t have the copay card in the office.
Tried something different yesterday found in the refrigerated section. Morton’s roast beef and gravy. A $12 package was about 4 servings. I thought it was pretty tasty for roast beef in a hurry. Good fast comfort food .
Just got the new Holiday Savings flyer in the mail. There are some good deals on Apple Mac Air and Mac Pro. Substantial savings off retail price.
I’m hoping for a new tv out of one of those holiday savings items - I’ll be on the lookout for the flyer!
Just out of curiosity, @doschicos , do you mind sharing the price of the Mac Air?
Certainly, @abasket. It is $699.99. Available online only. Includes extra year of warranty.
They had tons of tvs in the flyer - TONS!
^^Wow, that’s a good deal.
It is! They also have the 13.3" Macbook Pro with touchbar for $999.99 online or in stores.
I recently received a Costco flyer that has “Kick off Black Friday savings” on Samsung QLED TVs:
82" Q7D Series for $2,499.99
75" Q7D Series for $1,999.99
75" Q6D Series for $1,499.99
65" Q7D Series for $1,199.99
The prices are valid from 10/30 to 11/24/19, both online and in-store.
The one that I need more than anything else is the Osaki Massage Chair. It’s an online only sale with $1,000 off for $1,999.99.
OMG I don’t want one of the giant tvs!!! I have a brand in mind - but will see what shows up on sale.
What brand do you have in mind?
My tv is so old. I’m clueless about all the new tv options.
I personally prefer LG over Samsung’s. I currently have an LG OLED 46", which I purchased during the Black Friday sale from Costco a couple of years ago. At that time, I was a bit worried about the size being too big for our master bedroom. I’m now thinking about getting another one but much larger, like 75".
The flyer has a lot of LGs and Vizios as well as Samsung.
I have no idea where I’d put – or where I’d sit to watch – an 82-inch TV. That’s insane.
TCL is the brand I’m looking at. I’ve had a lot of good recommendations for this brand and we bought D2 one that she is really happy with.
@abasket I see one TCL. On sale from 11/29-12/2 in stores. Early online start only on 11/28.
65 inch 6 series 4K UHD LED LCD TV, built in Roku
Item 9650613
$599.99 That’s $100 off the current price.
My husband has been researching/looking at TVs and had pretty much settled on the 65” Samsung. He was pleasantly surprised when we got the Costco flyer the other day with the lower price. Amazon is selling it for $1,448 as a special.
We’re headed to Germany + in December for Christmas markets, so we’ve made some minor purchases - 32* long underwear, wool hoody sweater, a couple of warm jackets, wool socks
