My ability as a music major is questioned by my professors and it now interferes in my practicing.
I try to sit down and practice but there is an anxiety about trying my best and still being asked to consider another major by my instructor.
How can I get over this, have other students been asked to quit? How can any one take this well?
Are you a performance major? I would ask another professor for their opinion of your talent. Some conservatories, at least in theater departments, do have cut programs, where they let you know that you should not continue. Not so sure about music program. Get other opinions.
