advice for a noob

I am currently an undergrad student at Rutgers U, and was accepted into URochester as a transfer student. Ultimately I would like to go to law school. My question is whether it is worth the extra tuition to go to a better school. Will law schools favor graduating from URochester over Rutgers if I had the same GPA and same LSAT score?

Thanks.

I’m not sure how much difference it would make. Rutgers is a very good school. I am from Edison, NJ, right by Rutgers. I’m not sure if you are a Jersey native like me, but people in Jersey don’t seem to understand just how good that school really is. It is highly respected, especially outside of NJ. I’m really not sure if U Rochester would give you any advantage.

The difference between Rochester and Rutgers is minimal, law school won’t make any distinction. Undergrad prestige only counts for the very top schools like the Ivies, Stanford, MIT, etc.
