Hello,
I graduated from high school in 2009, I was enrolled in community college for my AA in aeronautic repair/powerplant and before I could start my parents ended up divorcing and I dropped out of college because at the time I wasn’t sure if I was going to be moving out of state.
In 2009 I picked up my first DSLR camera and found out I absolutely loved working as a photographer for sporting events and have volunteered my time for Feld Entertainment/Monster Jam as a photographer since 2010. This is where my question(s) come to play, since I recently re-enrolled into community college to get my AA in Broadcasting which requires general education.
I’m not a slacker when it comes to school work or work in general, in elementary school I was accepted into the GATE program but decided not to go that route, middle school was fine until I got to pre-algebra to which I barely passed with a D+. In high school I had the same issue and managed to pass the class and received my high school diploma.
I went to after school help for hours on end, had tutors come to my house to teach me, I never did fully understand algebra. This is my biggest worry about trying to get my AA, I don’t want to put all that time and effort into it just to fail one class and not get my degree.
These are the few questions I do have
- Is there a way around the general education requirement for math?
- If I took the broadcasting courses requrements besides general education, would it be a waste of time to put on a application for a job?
