And at this point, with a 9th grader, I would advise to cast a wide net, and not worry about potential conflicts over majors. Kids change a lot, and thinking of a nursing major now doesn’t mean that’s what they will end up majoring in 4 or 5 years later.
If nursing is in fact what she ends up being interested in then the advice to talk to coaches in a couple of years is excellent (and that’s when you’ll be narrowing down the pool of schools)
