Advice for my Stanford roommate essay?

The prompt is:

“Virtually all of Stanford’s undergraduates live on campus. Write a note to your future roommate that reveals something about you or that will help your roommate - and us - know you better.”

I feel that what’s best is honing in on one specific part of me and develop it in a way that will reveal the kind of person I am. Right now I am thinking on talking about my religion (buddhism) and what kind of person I am because of it. My other idea would be to talk about my love for travel and how my personality reflects my love of travel. They would show two very different sides of me, one is very compassionate, gentle and honest, while the other is curious and adventurous.

what would be better? I am completely comfortable writing about either one.

My other idea was to take on the cliche of “before you know me walk a mile in my shoes” and walk through my typical day, but I feel loike that might now allow me to delve into who I am as well as I want it to
