I applied to eight private universities. So far, I’ve been rejected from four (including a college in my state) and wait-listed at one. I haven’t heard anything yet from the remaining three. Needless to say, things aren’t looking too good at all for me. I’ve already applied to an in-state back up, but it’s a school that I’m really uninterested in and one that will basically be a second High School (half the people I know are going there).

Are there any colleges still accepting applications?

common app website - use the search tool to look for schools still accepting admissions.
I think there is also a list on the Peterson’s site(?)

My DD attends Slippery Rock University in Western PA. She loves it there. It is a great size, about 8000 students. Professors have been awesome- they really seem to want the students to succeed. And the cost is very affordable, even if you are out of state. She is so happy with her choice, she is a sophomore. She was a horrible test taker and did not do well on the ACT’s so was not sure if she could get into many colleges. SRU does not have rigorous requirements.

Go on US News and check for different schools. There are schools on the “regional universities” list that are still accepting applications. You just literally have to click on every school, and on the side bar they have the deadline for applications. I know because up to like a week ago I was afraid I wasn’t gonna get anywhere.

But then I got accepted into some places. Don’t lose hope, I thought I was only gonna get accepted into my local university.

Community colleges accept applications any time.

Pray to whatever deity you believe in the most for an offer from the other 3. if no yeses then I’d gap year or CC.
