advice for things to do in summer

I’m going to be a sophomore next year, so please give me some advice on what I should do this summer that will help me raise my sat score. THanks!!

Read books.

Visit historic sites, museums, etc., and learn all about them. Start with the ones near you that you have never visited. If possible TRAVEL. A lot.

Get a pen pal who is trying to learn English. Over the next two years you will learn more English than they will if you have to make sure that everything you write is correct.

Read more books.

Read newspapers.

Read good magazines – Atlantic Monthly, Natural History, The New Yorker, The New Republic.

Read the opinion columns in good newspapers.

Did I mention read good books?

DON’T mess with SAT review books. This is the SUMMER. You can always open a review book during the school year.

Try to plan for a trip abroad next summer. Learning a foreign language will make you a better speaker of English.

Learning this way will prepare you for life beyond the SAT.

^Right. Plus reading is probably the best way to prepare for CR anyway…

All great suggestions

Try this out your sophomore year and you will learn more than you ever have ^^
