Hey i have a big problem with my schedule and I don’t know what to do…
Currently I’m taking AP US II History, AP Chem, everything else Honors classes, and AP Stat (7 major classes in total)

The problem is that I haven’t taken any SAT IIs except for a 710 in Bio which isn’t good so i’m probably not going to send that to colleges. I haven’t taken the SAT I either (i’ve striving for 2300 but am only in the 2050 range…)

I’ve been getting A and A- in Stat except for a C+ in my midterm…but i’m thinking of dropping it because i feel like it would take up a lot of my studying time for SAT I and IIs.

The problem is that there is only like 3 months left until the AP exams start and I feel like what I learned already in Stat would’ve been a HUGE waste of time…especially since i’ve gotten an A and A- so far (w/ the exception of the C+ on the midterm)

What do you guys think I should do about the Stat class? Drop or keep?

Thanks so much in advance! I really appreciate your advice!

I’m assuming that you are a Junior. It’s usually not a good idea to just drop a class, especially as you’ve said, you would miss out on the opportunity to take the AP for it. If you need SAT IIs, I would suggest taking the ones that don’t require a whole lot of specific subject matter study such as Lit and Math II, which relies more on the knowledge you accumulate throughout high school (though math does emphasize precalc more). You could also take the sat subject test for US end of the year which won’t require much extra studying since you’ll be doing the AP anyway. As for the SAT I, it might be a good idea to take a summer SAT Prep course and then take it in October of senior year. November is the last date to take the SAT for early decision/action results so you could always take it again it you did not feel comfortable about the previous sitting.
