I’ve applied to and have been accepted to MPA and MiM programs. I was hoping to get some insight into a few schools that I have applied to. Has anyone been in or are currently in the Cornell MPA, NYU MPA, GWU MiM, or Brown MiM? Do you think it was worth it? What was the structure like? Would you recommend it to others?
I am currently deciding between Brown, GWU, and Cornell. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!
No direct experiences, but I do I a good bit of knowledge about these types of programs.
What was your major area of study during your undergraduate years and what is your general, or specific, career objective ?
Are you paying full sticker price ? If so, can you afford to do so without taking out any student loans ?
Also, are you aware that some elite MiM programs will recognize, and credit, this academic year toward earning a split MBA degree from that particular university ? This fact alone would steer some away from certain schools.
P.S. Is the Brown MiM program 100& online ?
I have briefly reviewed the four programs to which you have been admitted. My first question: Are you currently employed and do you intend to remain employed during the period of academic study towards master’s degree ? Do you currently work in the public domain ?
