I have two semesters of college left and need time to improve my GPA in order to apply for law school. I know once I graduate my GPA is set in stone, and I am also no longer eligible for federal aid once I graduate.

Can I get any financial aid if I take time off to go to a community college and pad my GPA? How will this affect my federal aid once I return?

What is your GPA?

Are you certain that the credits AND the grades will transfer from community college to your 4-year college to affect your GPA?

You would have to TRANSFER to the CC, go to school there…and then TRANSFER back to your current school. If you are getting non-fed aid from your current school, then you likely would lose that when you go back.

Pad your GPA with summer classes at your local CC.
