I live in Minneapolis and I plan on attending CC for 2013-2014 year. My problem is that I’ve only been here for 6 months (I’m from Seattle) so I don’t know what CC would be academically up to par. I plan to be a STEM major in neuroscience/neurobiology. I was planning on MCTC but I’m not sure if it’s a good transfer school. I want to transfer to UC Berkeley. That’s my dream.

My question is basically what MN CC have an excellent science/BIOLOGY AA program? Which CC are good?

I live in Minneapolis and have been going to Normandale the last 3 years. I transferred to UMN for computer engineering for Fall '13. Normandale provides the most transfer students to the UMN, obviously not Berkeley but still a reputable school. Berkeley was on my radar as I was planning my transfer, but the odds of getting into Berkeley as a transfer student from a non California CC are very low ([Transfer admission profile | UC Admissions](http://admission.universityofcalifornia.edu/campuses/berkeley/transfer-profile/)). (I have a 4.0 gpa at Normandale including calc 1-4, phyics, etc and still didn’t bother applying to Berkeley, I just didn’t feel it the odds were in my favor)

My advice to you would be get into the UMN asap, get a 4.0 (among many other ECs) at UMN and then try to get into Berkeley. I understand this isn’t the news you wanted, but prestigious schools are picky.
