Advice: Temporary Transfer for Dream Internship

Good Afternoon,

I hope you can help me figure out this little conundrum…

Good News: I’ve been give the opportunity to intern with a high profile television organization located just outside of The District of Columbia.

Bad News: Due to the fact I live several states away, I would need to find an apartment or some other means of housing. Also, I would be required to take online courses -yuck- at my current university.

So, I’m thinking about filing for temporary study at a university in close proximity to Washington D.C. If I’m lucky, I will be able to stay in a dorm and skip the pain of taking all online courses. Any thoughts on potential schools and/or other ideas?

Thanks

I think the terms you want are a “leave of absense” from your current college and you want to be a “visiting student” at a school near DC. You need to check with your current college about the appropriate proceedures. Don’t enroll (and pay for classes) at a DC based college until your current college clears it.
