<p>I’m not really sure how this works because I don’t have any older siblings that are in college…does one get an advisor as soon as they enter the university?</p>

<p>Also, are non-honors/non-scholars students usually placed in dorms with students of the same major? </p>

<p>you get an advisor, assigned as you enter college.
Dorms are at chance, not by majors if you are not a scholar.</p>

<p>When you come to an orientation program, you’ll meet with your advisor for the first time (among other things).</p>
