thanks shikashakegurl… you’re still one percent ahead!! lol.

i will graduate from high school in june (accelerated course), so i could go to college after that… i’m not going to redo 10th grade after doing 9th (semester 2), 10th, 11th, and 12th in nine months.

apples to oranges. You couldn’t possibly do 10th,11th, and 12th at a BS in nine months. It was just a suggestion because if you are not a recruited hockey player, etc. it is very difficult. I remember last year there were several very qualified candidates that were shut out for 11th. Best of luck to you.

i haven’t found one 11th grader… only 9th graders in the archives…

yes, i have. i will graduate in june. i can go at my own pace.

I wonder what boarding schools will think already graduating and applying for eleventh grade. Probably they’ll just be impressed.

yeah… i hope they won’t think i’m some insane overachiever or something. i don’t think it will hurt me. at all, really.

creating a highschool transcript can be a slippery slope for future college adcom that a top BS may try to avoid. There are rules that have to be followed when calculating grades.A BS is going to possibly have some issues with a kid who has outpaced the BS course guides unless that student offers extraordinary academic talents, diversity, athletics.Cramming courses into such a tight frame could be seen as questionable good judgement if the result is trying to backup to a lower grede for prestige? undefined goals?A path is not always straight, but many curves can be avoided.

Francis makes a good point. Heck, why not just enter college?

I’ve been wondering the same thing. Blairt is not the only cc contributor applying for 11th grade. I am curious as to what the primary motivators are for those seeking highly selective spots at boarding schools (although PorpoisePal has already been very forthcoming about her motivations already). I was under the impression that in order to create standout resume for competetive colleges, a junior would focus on earning college credits, seeking leadership positions in established EC passions, and community service hours, etc.

Brighty, you got it!

the lack of logic and scattered emotional spectrum is what makes it interesting.prolly several half truths and issues that don’t concern this community at play.hopefully it is being rendered on purpose just to have some fun. otherwise, very sad.i remain conflicted about feeding into the silliness.
