Essays:

Were pretty good, but i had to write like 13 essays in total including mini and long ones because I am applying to so many schools…

Talked about Christianity, basketball, overcoming fear of public speaking, family, robotics competition, being a CIT, and a lot more…. These were just some main topics in my essays

Interviews were good for the most part ( Lemme know if u want me to rate)

I think my recs are good my teachers like me and they were all willing to give me good recś especially my ELA teacher who was really excited when i told i was applying to some of these schools ( she was like the only one who knew what and where some of them were …) but some of my teachers and my principal have been keeping up with me asking how everything is going so that’s good ! Most kids from my school just go to the high school in my district and when i asked they don´t know what or where any of these schools are… Even the independent schools in my state(Michigan) ( idk if it’s underrepresented or not but when we met some kids from these schools and also just looking online, not a lot from Michigan so yeah…) So I’m pretty sure I’m like the only one in 8th grade applying to any of these schools so yea, kind of a lone soldier here, but here we go… :ok_hand:

Have you already applied? As in, will be hearing in a few days?

yes i have.. ik it;s kind of late but i was just honestly so scared to post for a while, but i finally got to doing it. 5 days before admission results come out so yeah… :face_with_peeking_eye:

Best of luck to you. Any chances now are immaterial. You’ll know hours from now.

let us know how it goes.

Difficult to assess your chance of admission for each school. However, since you are in need of full financial aid, Exeter, Andover, and St. Paul’s School are the most generous in this respect, yet have the highest standard for SSAT scores.

You are a well-rounded, interesting, and accomplished candidate for admission to all of these schools, but applicants in need of full financial aid face higher scrutiny at most of these schools since they don’t have the level of wealth as do Andover, Exeter, & SPS.

Nevertheless, despite any poster’s guesses–including my own–you will find out in a few days.

I wish you well !

Thank You!

First decision is whether or not you want to be a boarding student (as you wrote earlier that you would commute to Cranbrook if I understand correctly).

Congratulations !

Outstanding! Very happy for you. Any favorites of the ones you got accepted to? This may change based on revisit days.

I am shocked, shocked to find students below 99th percentile on the SSAT gaining acceptance at these institutions!

I’m kidding, of course. Drives me crazy that so many kids get hung up on the SSAT scores around here. That said, yours were great, of course.

Congratulations! How are you thinking of making your decision? Which schools are still in contention?

Hello everyone! I just wanted to let you know that I decided to commit to SPS ( St. Paul’s School, NH). It was a really hard decision overall, and thankfully, we were able to get off the waiting list…, but I’m really excited!
