Though I am still currently waiting on financial aid (HURRY UP!), if everything works out, I plan to attend CU. I was accepted as an Environmentalism major. However, what if I plan to change majors, particularly to AEM?

Why do I keep hearing that getting into AEM is hard? If I’m already in CALS, wouldn’t it be easy for me to transfer?

Any opinions (such as workload and prestige) about AEM as opposed to Environmentalism major?

Generally speaking, if I do decide to change major, who do I notify and when?

Any opinions are appreciated!

*WOOPS: Lol sorry for the mess up. I wrongly assumed we can call “Science of Nat & Envir Sys” as “Environmentalism” ^^;;

The reason it’s hard to internally transfer into AEM is to prevent people from doing what you’re doing (either intentionally or unintentionally) which is to get admitted under a less competitive major as a backdoor.

Ah, makes sense. Well, just to throw this out there, no, I was not thinking of getting in backdoor, seeing how I was only contemplating AEM for the past two weeks.

Just confused on what I want to do with my life, career, and etc.
How do we know which classes we’re supposed to take as a freshman? I’m pretty lost…
