Can anyone suggest good Aeronautical Engineering programs in the Eastern half of the U.S.?

If so, I’d also like to know their level of difficulty in terms of admission (for example: what type of GPA, SAT or ACT scores are needed to be admitted, etc.

East of the Mississippi:
Michigan, Cornell, Maryland, Georgia Tech, MIT, Purdue, Illinois, Penn State, Notre Dame, VirginiaTech, NC State, Buffalo, Florida, Rensselaer, Cincinnati, Auburn, Old Dominion, Ohio State

These are from the NRC grad rankings, which may or may not be relevant to the quality of undergrad teaching, but they do indicate some of the stronger departments.

Also, add Princeton.

GPA and SAT/ACT averages and range can be found in the USNews rankings and in any number of college guidebooks.

GPA and SAT/ACT info can also be found in the schools Common Data Set, Section C. Google Common Data Set [school name]. Make sure you also look at the affordability of schools by using the Net Price Calculator on each school’s site.

American Society for Engineering Education has lots of good info on their site. Here is one, an alphabetical listing of all undergrad degree programs. You have to look a little carefully since any major you can think of will be listed several times because the degree title may vary. There are way more listings for aerospace versus aeronautical, but they are distinct majors :-)
